Fri Flyt overall rating of 4FRNT Kye 95:

6 / 10

Flotation:
6 / 10
Turning capabilities:
4 / 10
Stability at speed:
6 / 10
Technical info:
Long taper at both ends, and a lot of camber and sidecut in the back ski. Heavy construction. The geometry meets at the same point in the rocker transitions. Soft tail and a stiff front ski.

On snow:
No one in the test team came to terms with the narrowest ski of Kye Petersen´s three new pro-models. Although the ski is heavy, it´s not particularly trustworthy. It flutters and feels nervous. It might be the combination of camber, a lot of sidecut and an abrupt transition to taper that makes it unstable. It performs somewhat better at speed. But even then the edge grip fails. We were not impressed.

This sequence of numbers indicates stiffness. Each number corresponds to a part of the ski, from tail to tip. 5 equals the average
for this part and length of the ski. Lower values indicate softer skis, higher values stiffer.
