Technical info:
Raven is the much talked about ski touring model from 4FRNT, manufactured at their factory in Salt Lake City. The so-called "Hals construction", which means that the core extends all the way on both sides instead of having side walls of a different material. The shape reminds us of the Hoji and Renegade freeride skis, with taper and rocker, but it has a shorter turning radius, especially in the front ski. It´s not a light ski, despite the carbon fibre in the front.

On snow:
Unless you compare it with fat powder skis, the Raven feels heavy. It fails to convince on groomed slopes as it is rather slow to get going. But the shape provides good flotation in powder, and you can skid around in different snow conditions. 4FRNT Raven is a great tool for ungroomed snow.

This sequence of numbers indicates stiffness. Each number corresponds to a part of the ski, from tail to tip. 5 equals the average
for this part and length of the ski. Lower values indicate softer skis, higher values stiffer.
