Technical info:
Armada has a love for stiff waist and soft tips. The Bubba is perhaps the most extreme of the test skis in this respect. The turning radius is short when compared to most other brands, but Armada are known to make them even shorter. It is by far the shortest model in the class, but the broad waist makes the surface area and total weight comparable to other skis. These skis have longer taper than rocker, a relatively high camber below the waist and low, pointed tips. The sidecut and gliding surface are certainly the shortest in the test.

On snow:
Freestyle powder skis in the tradition of the ARG. For other uses they are quite limited. Due to the short forepart, they might even plunge below the surface. Some of the test riders had to apply weight on the back of their boots to get the tips up and out of the snow. Standing on your back heels is actually preferable when it comes to carving turns with these skis, although there is no need to exaggerate. If you can master the Bubba, its playful design really lets you enjoy the powder. Groomed trails are of course a different proposition, and the Bubba is more difficult to turn with compared to many other skis in this test. This ski suits powder freestylers and those who like to play in the woods.

This sequence of numbers indicates stiffness. Each number corresponds to a part of the ski, from tail to tip. 5 equals the average
for this part and length of the ski. Lower values indicate softer skis, higher values stiffer.
