Technical info:
Atomic specialise in making light ski touring boots, and here you have the matching ski. A light core of poplar and brazilian caruba wood is reinforced with fibreglass and carbon strings. The shape is quite traditional, with a long sidecut and little rocker. Otherwise, Atomic has applied average parameters on weight, turning radius, setback and flex. The back ski is relatively stiff though.

On snow:
Atomic Backland 95 is a solid choice as an allround touring ski. It´s not among the lightest, but it´s not heavy either. Emphasis has been placed on maneuverability, versatility and predictability. Backland 95 floats well, absorbs unevenness and is very stable at speed.
