Technical info:
Black Crows offers a wide selection of models, and this year’s test includes two new skis only in this category. Captis is a fibreglass sandwich with a narrow waist, moderate sidecut and some camber. It has a symmetrical rocker distribution in both ends. The indicated mounting is quite far in front. Soft flex, especially in the front ski. A lot of bend in the tail.

On snow:
All our test skiers struggled to get comfortable with this model. You are positioned quite far in front on a short platform, and you can really feel that there is a lot of rocker in the front and back. It is fairly aggressive on the edge, but it doesn´t respond that well. This is not a ski for off-piste adventures. The surface area is limited and it is hard to say what exactly this model brings to the table.

This sequence of numbers indicates stiffness. Each number corresponds to a part of the ski, from tail to tip. 5 equals the average
for this part and length of the ski. Lower values indicate softer skis, higher values stiffer.
