Technical info:
Black Diamond has set out to make a modern touring ski. Revert is a sandwich model with a long rocker in the front and a low tip with an acute angle. It also has rocker in the back ski. Camber below the waist. The long setback gives a big width difference between the back and front ski. The turning radius is normal. The skis have a stiff tail and soft waist.

On snow:
The low weight together with the width, and a construction to provide good float, makes Revert a tempting ski touring option. They convince with their playful freeski abilities downhill, and you will be tempted to put the pedal to the metal. However, they don’t quite live up to the expectations. Both stability at speed and edge grip could have been better. It might be the soft flex in the waist which causes this.

This sequence of numbers indicates stiffness. Each number corresponds to a part of the ski, from tail to tip. 5 equals the average
for this part and length of the ski. Lower values indicate softer skis, higher values stiffer.
