Technical info:
Down from Switzerland has been around for a while. Countdown 7 is the test's only ski that is entirely built from carbon fibre. This is also why it´s one of the lightest skis in the test. Long rocker at both ends and a short setback results in fairly symmetrical measurements.

On snow:
This is a good choice for the experienced skier who is looking for an allround ski that can be used on long trips. In spite of the weight, we consider this as a stable and trustworthy charging ski. If you liked the old EHP from 4Frnt, you'll appreciate this model as well. The lightness makes it easy to move around on the mountain. The overall impression is dragged down a little due to the lack of responsiveness on the trail, and because it´s not as smooth in the powder turns compared with the best skis in the test.

This sequence of numbers indicates stiffness. Each number corresponds to a part of the ski, from tail to tip. 5 equals the average
for this part and length of the ski. Lower values indicate softer skis, higher values stiffer.
