Technical info:
Dynastar´s Cham-series was launched a few years ago, with plenty of sidecut and rocker in the front ski and a flat, stiff back ski. Now this has been moderated. The turning radius is longer, the flex curve is smoother and rocker has been added to the back ski. It´s among the heaviest skis in the test, and the construction is similar to normal freeride skis.

On snow:
Cham 97 is responsive, easy to turn and stable, as long as you can handle the short turning radius. Compared to the other skis in this category, it is the solid feel that stands out. No need to fear that it will fail on you at high speed. Other models float and skid better on soft snow. It is a little too heavy to be a specialised touring ski, but in return you will have better maneuverability.

This sequence of numbers indicates stiffness. Each number corresponds to a part of the ski, from tail to tip. 5 equals the average
for this part and length of the ski. Lower values indicate softer skis, higher values stiffer.
