Technical info:
The cheapest and heaviest model in Elan´s new Ibex series (that includes a folding model!) is one of the biggest and heaviest skis in the test. Still, the front ski is extremely soft. Ibex Carbon has a solid 20 centimeter setback, which gives a big difference between the front and back ski. The sidecut radius is even and average.

On snow:
You can really feel the soft flex, and it is easy to maneuver and turn. At the same time Ibex Carbon is not very stable at speed, and it fails to impress in difficult conditions. It performs well in small turns, which is typical for skis with such a big width difference between the front and back ski. Elan Ibex Carbon is a good ski for lightweight riders who prefer to take it easy rather than going supersonic.

This sequence of numbers indicates stiffness. Each number corresponds to a part of the ski, from tail to tip. 5 equals the average
for this part and length of the ski. Lower values indicate softer skis, higher values stiffer.
