Technical info:
The Ripstick series from Slovenian Elan is new this year. This is the only women´s model in the series. It is a light construction with a very long setback. This results in a very wide tip in proportion to the width of the rest of the ski. The tip is also very soft. The sidecut is even throughout.

On snow:
Ripstick´s stability at speed is the best in the test, and this might be due to a lot of setback. Otherwise, it failed to convince the test riders. We were not convinced by the edge grip nor the willingness to turn on groomed slopes. We think that this is because of the setback - there is quite simply too much front ski. The tip gives decent floatation, but we miss the willingness to turn in powder.
