Technical info:
The Spectrum 95 is the narrow model in this new series from Elan. The tips are asymmetrical, which gives a different inner and outer ski, and different rocker lengths on each side. It is reinforced with aluminum along the inner ski and with fibreglass in the tips. The setback is quite extreme and there is a big difference in width between the back and front ski.

On snow:
Spectrum 95 - a sheep in wolf’s clothing . Despite its unusual looks and angular tip form, it acts surprisingly normal. It lies more or less flat on the snow, is stable at speed and handles uneven surfaces well. The Spectrum is a reliable companion, but perhaps a little boring. So this ski gives you something to talk about on the chairlift, but not that that much when you get back down gain.

This sequence of numbers indicates stiffness. Each number corresponds to a part of the ski, from tail to tip. 5 equals the average
for this part and length of the ski. Lower values indicate softer skis, higher values stiffer.
