Technical info:
Candide 4.0 is made of the same light flax sandwich they have used previously. The ski has a long rocker in both ends, and it´s a little soft from the waist and backwards. This ski has a little more sidecut compared to the model we tested two years ago. It´s a lot lighter and transitions between rocker and chamber have become a lot smoother.

On snow:
Candide Thovex has no less than four Faction pro models. This is the widest of them. Big ski with less rocker and taper than models from other brands. You notice this in two ways: There is a lot of weight far away from the foot. Despite the low weight of the construction, it feels heavy to maneuver. We also notice that the wide tip gets caught up in tracked snow, maybe because the tip is stiff and low. So this is not the most stable ski in this category. But it floats well.
