Technical info:
In the previous issue we tested the big brother 4.0. These are called 3.0 and are constructed with the same materials: Balsa core and flax fibre. Candide 3.0 is the lightest ski in the category. It has the same abrupt transition from the gliding surface to rocker, which gives a pronounced pressure point (red arrow). Both carve zone and turning radius are long. The camber is low and the skis are soft.

On snow:
This ski likes speed. It is not particularly easy to maneuverer in tight spots. One of the testers wanted the bindings mounted farther in the front. We all agree that when in action, this is a ski that delivers on all fronts. A good choice for the ones who have decided to mount touring bindings on their next pair, and who haven’t got the time for turning in powder and who stay clear of dense forest.

This sequence of numbers indicates stiffness. Each number corresponds to a part of the ski, from tail to tip. 5 equals the average
for this part and length of the ski. Lower values indicate softer skis, higher values stiffer.
