Technical info:
Fat-ypus manufacture their own skis in Colorado. They´ve kept it going for some years now and these days they’re not all about wide skis. This is a fibreglass construction with a classic sidecut all the way to the tip. The rocker starts with a pronounced inflection in the front. It has little rocker in the back. The construction and the finish is somewhat rough. The waist is very stiff and the tip is soft.

On snow:
The straightest of the Fat-ypus skis in this year’s test. The long sidecut makes it feel like a classic big-mountain ski. It turns and lands predictably. But for some of us the term «classic» also meant that it was anonymous. Apart from being relatively easy to maneuverer and predictable, D-sender doesn´t stand out in any way.

This sequence of numbers indicates stiffness. Each number corresponds to a part of the ski, from tail to tip. 5 equals the average
for this part and length of the ski. Lower values indicate softer skis, higher values stiffer.
