Soft snow:

Technical info:
This is the lightest ski and binding combination we have ever tested. The ski is light and the surface area is small. It has a short turning radius, the tail is stiff and the front ski is very soft. Ultra is Hagan’s affordable alternative to racing skis. Compared to the more popular Wai series, there is less width difference between the front and back.

On snow:
The test team agrees that it is an unstable ski that demands attentiveness all the way. This is probably related to the low weight and small surface area. The stiff tail and the short turning radius may contribute to the unstable feeling as well. However, it ties the arcs neatly together on soft snow. This is the ski for the light weight freaks who sweat excessively on long trips with good snow in moderate terrain.

This sequence of numbers indicates stiffness. Each number corresponds to a part of the ski, from tail to tip. 5 equals the average
for this part and length of the ski. Lower values indicate softer skis, higher values stiffer.
