Technical info:
Hagan shows that it is possible to make very light skis without adding carbonfibre. This is an ordinary fibreglass construction, but it still sets the standard when it comes to weight. Among the cutbacks is the plastic layer on the top, which is thin towards the edges. It has the Wai-series´ standard shape, with a long tip for flotation. Wai King has a stiff back ski with a powerful camber, a soft front ski and a relatively short turning radius, especially in the waist section.

On snow:
It is a wide and light floater, which is surprisingly precise and snappy. The low weight does come at a price, of course. But it is very smooth in the turns and it floats effortlessly. The edge grip and stability are limited on hard surfaces, but all in all, we think this is one of the most exciting models we have tried from the Austrian ski touring specialist.
