Fri Flyt overall rating of Head Collective 105:

6 / 10

Flotation:
6 / 10
Turning capabilities:
7 / 10
Stability at speed:
6 / 10
Technical info:
Fiberglass sandwich with rubber-filled tips. The turning radius is short, and there is little taper. This makes the tips very large, despite one of the narrowest waists in the test. Normal weight, average stiffness and traditional camber.

On snow:
You may need a little time to find the right position on the Collective. Once you´ve figured it out, you can enjoy a playful allrounder. The combination of a narrow waist and large tips make it a little unstable in tracked snow. At high speed it feels like we are about to stumble over the front skis. The short test length might have something to do with it. On the piste the Collective makes fine, short turns. It feels predictable. It suits a light skier who values balance and control over high speed.

This sequence of numbers indicates stiffness. Each number corresponds to a part of the ski, from tail to tip. 5 equals the average
for this part and length of the ski. Lower values indicate softer skis, higher values stiffer.
