Technical info:
K2 has reduced the weight considerably on their last generation of touring skis. Now they are suddenly producing medium-weight skis. This is a result of a thinner base and having replaced parts of the fibreglass reinforcement with carbonfibre. The sidecut is short in front and longer from the waist and towards the back. The Coomback 104 has a long rocker in the front ski. The back ski is relatively stiff while it is softer in front. It also comes in a wider version, with a waist width of 114 mm.

On snow:
Despite the diet, the Coomback has retained the solid and agile feeling. There are no surprises here. It is easy to turn with and floats well. The edge grip is not super firm, but it doesn´t give in. The Coomback is not a very exciting ski, but it has good allround qualities, and we like the weight.
