Technical info:
Wayback 96 is an improved version of the classic, with a waist measuring 88 mm. Here you have a very light construction from K2. The fibreglass is partially replaced with carbonfibre, and the base is thinner than in previous models. It is soft in the front and a little stiffer towards the back. The Wayback 96 has an even turning radius, which is one of the shortest in the test. There are two narrower versions with 88 and 82 mm waists.

On snow:
Compared to Coomback 105, Wayback 96 appears as an unassuming little brother. It is easier to turn with, but has less flotation, stability at speed and edge grip. It doesn´t respond that well on hard snow. In return, it is quite a lot lighter than the Coomback, and you can enjoy K2's proven recipe. Whether you're buying an all-purpose ski or need a pair for touring in spring, these will do the job.

This sequence of numbers indicates stiffness. Each number corresponds to a part of the ski, from tail to tip. 5 equals the average
for this part and length of the ski. Lower values indicate softer skis, higher values stiffer.
