Flotation:
6 / 10
Turning capabilities:
7 / 10
Stability at speed:
7 / 10
Technical info:
This is a conservatively designed aluminum sandwich from Kästle. Long and high camber, especially in the back ski (15mR). No curvature in the tail, the tip is high and steep. The skis are of average stiffness. Almost no rocker and taper. The weight is high in relation to the size.

On snow:
Similar to BMX108, but a bit shorter turning radius. Flotation isn’t all that great compared to the other skis in the test. It turns well down groomed slopes and when the powder is not too deep. All in all a standard ski that works well on the trails. Many people will enjoy the FX 104, especially the ones who appreciate the giant slalom feeling on a groomed trail.
