Technical info:
One of Kästle´s trademarks is the reinforced metal allround ski. FX 94 is one of the narrowest skis in the test, but it also among the heaviest in its category. It has a relatively long carve zone and an average flex with a little stiffer back ski. The front ski has some rocker. The mounting point is behind the middle of the sidecut, so it understeers somewhat.

On snow:
When Kästle make skis it is always with an eye to giant slalom. FX 94 feels like a wide giant slalom ski, with a solid edge grip and tons of stability. At the same time it is relatively easy to maneuver and can both skid and carve. For many of the test skiers, this was the best on-piste ski. It suits those who prefer the slopes, and the occasional off-piste adventure when the risk of hitting rocks is minimal.

This sequence of numbers indicates stiffness. Each number corresponds to a part of the ski, from tail to tip. 5 equals the average
for this part and length of the ski. Lower values indicate softer skis, higher values stiffer.
