Technical info:
Over the years Kästle, has made skis with simple, white surfaces, hollowed out tips and metal reinforced freeride skis that preform just as well on and off the groomed slopes. MX89 is a heavy and stiff aluminum construction without any rocker. The ski is characterized by an even camber through the entire length and a lot of sidecut in the front and back.

On snow:
Here is a ski that is hungry for speed. Minimal rocker gives good contact with the snow. The testers were opening up the turns, and from the chairlift we could see how these skis inspired them to charge ahead. In other words, it is better for long turns than short turns. But at speed, what a ski. A very good choice, especially if you have freeriding experience.

This sequence of numbers indicates stiffness. Each number corresponds to a part of the ski, from tail to tip. 5 equals the average
for this part and length of the ski. Lower values indicate softer skis, higher values stiffer.
