Technical info:
Skitrab from Italy is a very popular brand among those who fly up the ascents. The ultra-light Magico has the same core as the top model racing ski. A lot of the wood has been replaced by a synthetic aramid honeycomb profile. Otherwise, this is a narrow ski with taper and some rocker in front. The flex is soft in front and medium from the waist and backwards.

On snow:
Magico is easy to turn with and leads you down the mountainside. Its stability at speed is good compared to many other lightweighters. Its weakness is the lack of floatation in powder, and it doesn´t convince us on uneven surfaces. But SkiTrab Magico is an exciting choice in the lightweight category, and it might become your favoured pair for spring trips that involve many vertical meters.
