Technical info:
Nordica has a tradition of making aluminum reinforced allround freeride skis which maneuver well in the slopes. El Capo is no exception. Like many of the skis in this test, the turning radius in the back ski is shorter than in the waist and the front ski. It has a long setback. The flex curve is soft, but a little stiffer in the waist. The construction is relatively heavy.

On snow:
El Capo is very stable. This ski is made for speed and long turns. It will allow you to fly down the mountain sides. It also functions well on groomed slopes, although we seem to remember previous Nordica-models with similar width, which have been even more dominant here. The heavy construction and the solid feeling makes you want to skip the trickery and go for high speed and long jumps.

This sequence of numbers indicates stiffness. Each number corresponds to a part of the ski, from tail to tip. 5 equals the average
for this part and length of the ski. Lower values indicate softer skis, higher values stiffer.
