Technical info:
Salomon Lab BC is one of the largest skis in the test. The rocker is long and low in the front ski. The turning radius is average, but with a more sudden sidecut in the front. The combined fibreglass and carbonfibre construction has reduced the weight considerably, without it being exceptionally light.

On snow:
We confess that we wanted a pair of these for our powder touring adventures. Lab BC has tremendous flotation, at the same time as it is nimble and responsive. You can skid around or take the direct route down to the bottom of the valley. The light construction probably affects the edge grip and the performance on hard surfaces, but apart from that, we must say that Salomon has hit close to bull's eye in their attempt to create a wide touring ski.

This sequence of numbers indicates stiffness. Each number corresponds to a part of the ski, from tail to tip. 5 equals the average
for this part and length of the ski. Lower values indicate softer skis, higher values stiffer.
