Technical info:
MTN 95 comes from the same company as Atomic Backland. It has the same waist width and a caruba wood core. But this one is a lot lighter than Atomic´s model, despite being reinforced by fibreglass instead of carbon. The tip has a honeycomb profile. MTN 95 has a long setback and a short turning radius in front. The flex is soft in front and stiff behind.

On snow:
Salomon enter the ski touring segment with a good, all-purpose model. MTN 95 floats well in powder and soft slush. We were less impressed on hard snow and on varied surfaces, our pair felt unstable and didn´t provide the freeride experience we were expecting after the first impression.
