Fri Flyt overall rating of Salomon Q Stella:

7 / 10

Flotation:
8 / 10
Turning capabilities:
8 / 10
Stability at speed:
6 / 10
Technical info:
Stella is another asymmetrical model. A lot of taper in the front makes up for the long setback and short radius, which otherwise would have made the skis very wide in the front. Long rocker in the front, not that much in the back ski. Abrupt transition to rocker, just like the Quest 98.

On snow:
The ski is playful and easy to maneuver, it feels firm down the slopes and functions well in open off-piste terrain. It has a quick response. This is a very good allround ski. It can sometimes seem a little unstable at high speed, but overall it floats very well. Stella suits the less aggressive skier who is looking for a fun allrounder that is easy to get along with.
