Technical info:
Völkl likes to make skis with little taper, and this aluminum sandwich is not an exception. The new Aura version, which is the woman´s version of the Mantra, has consistent rocker and a sharp bend at the tip. It is quite heavy and the flex is stiff all the way, especially in the back. The sidecut radius is long and even and the setback is relatively long in relation to the length.

On snow:
The Aura is known to be the number one allround ski, and the new version is also stable and easy to turn on almost all types of snow. But the test team agree that they are a little boring compared to the competition. Other skis are more playful and inspiring. However, this is a good buy if you like carving down the trails. For this purpose Aura is among the best in the test.

This sequence of numbers indicates stiffness. Each number corresponds to a part of the ski, from tail to tip. 5 equals the average
for this part and length of the ski. Lower values indicate softer skis, higher values stiffer.
