Technical info:
Whitedot keeps making new models, and this is the second generation of the Director. The rocker is consistent, with a flat waist. As opposed to the special shape of the first models, there is a smoother transition between the even sidecut and taper. Longer rocker in the back ski than in the front. The back ski also has a lot of flex.

On snow:
The waist width and geometry are appealing, but somehow we feel that the ski is missing something. It is surprisingly demanding to vary the turn length. When you put pressure on hard surfaces, the edge grip fails. It is also not convincing at high speed. As long as you don't push it too hard, the Whitedot Director works fine, especially in turns on soft snow. But it fails to compete among the best in this tough competition.

This sequence of numbers indicates stiffness. Each number corresponds to a part of the ski, from tail to tip. 5 equals the average
for this part and length of the ski. Lower values indicate softer skis, higher values stiffer.
